Dead Rising 2 Case 0 - Prologue to the up coming game Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 Case Zero is the prequel to the up coming game Dead Rising 2, the title is exclusively available on the Xbox Live Market Place for 400 points, which is the equivalent to about 5 US Dollars, which for its price is a great deal, The game starts of with the protagonist Chuck Greene fleeing from the Zombie apocalypse, when they stop to get gas in a small town some one steals their car. So the game is based around you trying to escape the town alive with you daughter. The game is presented as a free roam with missions style game play. Also new to Dead Rising 2 is the ability to combine certain items to create custom items which will gain your more PP(Prestige Points) which allows you to level up.
This game is not for the little ones, it has drinking(Which Heals you along with any other food and drink) And it is very, very violent.
All in all, for 5 bucks(400mp) The game is worth it, it can be fun just to run around and kill zombies, or see what items combined will make what. Its what you call, plenty of bang for your buck. 9/10

Cloning Clyde - A cloning adventure of Silliness

Cloning Clyde, a wonderful silly title from the Xbox Live Arcade. I loved this game, it is a silly platforming game. You play as a man named Clyde, the game revolves around level based game play. Each level is composed of  running, and jumping to the exit of the level. Along the way you can look for collectibles and help fellow clones exit the level. More you complete the more you will unlock. This game is a easy pick up and play platformer, and for 400 Microsoft Points its a steal. I recommend it to any one who enjoys a good platformer, and it is safe for any ages.
I give it a 8/10, its fun, addictive and enjoyable for its price tag.

Red Dead Redemption - The Good, The Bad and The...Grand Theft Auto?

In the old west there is no sympathy, its kill or be killed, and it is no different in Rockstars latest title Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar is famous for the infamous Grand Theft Auto series.
Red Dead Redemption takes the game play style of Grand Theft Auto and puts it in the old west, you play as the ex outlaw John Marshton, a man who's family is being held captive while he sorts out some things from his past. The gameplay is top notch, from the shoot-outs to the mini games such as horse shoes, its fun plain and simple. The game plays almost just like a GTA title, you have a huge open world to explore, unlocking more areas as the story progresses, it is set in a place influenced by Texas, Colorado, and Mexico. The game features a wide array side missions in the form of people called Strangers, who are just that strangers that ask for help. They are of course optional. One thing I really loved about the game was there are random events such as someone horse be stolen or a woman being attacked, which you can choose to ignore or to intervene and help them, by helping them you will gain honor, by doing bad acts such as killing innocent people or stealing horses you honor goes down, both ways will gain you bonus features in game such as discounts in stores.
The voice acting in the game is amazing, all of the voices were picked right, and the actor put emotions in to the script. The ambiance and sound of the wild is great, you hear wolves howling, coyotes yipping, owls hooting, crickets chirping. It makes you feel as if you are in the land of New Austin and Mexico, right there with John Masrhton.
One thing I really enjoyed about the game is that Rockstar has made a good person the lead of a game, John is just a desperate man who is trying to get his family back and get over his old ways, in game he gets offers from Working Girls, he politely declines every time. This game is for people 17 and up, I cannot stress this enough, if you do not want your kids playing any game with profane language stray from this game it says everything from the f word to the infamous c word which is used quite often for a video game.
All in all, I loved this game, its worth every penny. I give it a perfect 10/10.
Good going Rockstar hope to see another like it.

Saw - Inside the traps of a killer.

So, they made a game based on the Saw movies, like most movie games, its not very good. The game takes place in between the first two movies, you step into the shoes of Detective David Tapp, who has a vendetta against the infamous Jigsaw Killer. The game starts you of tied to a chair and in one of Jigsaws traps in a abandon insane asylum.
The game play of Saw is terrible, the best part of it is the trap designs, they are clever and take some brains to get through. Other than that the game is highly disappointing, at least for me it was.
The combat in this game is the Achilles heel of the game. It is absolutely atrocious, you fight with objects you pick up, things like, crutches, tire irons, bats, mostly blunt objects, there are some mines and guns in there but are a pain to use. You go into a combat stance when a enemy is around, you have 3 options, heavy attack, light attack, and block. You have to get the first hit with a heavy attack, or you will probably die. The controls themselves are not that bad, it is more of the response time between the controller to screen seems delayed, which can be very problematic in combat or timed situations such as the traps.
The graphics of the game are pretty average, the animation has some glitches in it with some of the NPC movements. Also, I noticed that the syncing of the mouths of NPCs and the voice acting, they just seemed a wee bit out of sync.
The sound is the only redeemable quality of this game, the sound is great. You can hear the sound of other victims of Jigsaws "games" crying and screaming in the asylum creates a great atmosphere. The voice acting how ever, to me it sounds like all the voice actors were bored and you could tell they were just reading of a script in front of them. Made the game feel very dry at moments.
My final thoughts on the Saw video game is, it feels a lot like a cheap budget Silent Hill, but for the same price. If you like survival horror go with Resident Evil 5 or Silent Hill Homecoming for next gen consoles. The game feels clunky, glitchy and makes the game not fun. If you are a fan of the Saw franchise you may enjoy it, if not save your money and get one of the other games I have mentioned. I give Saw the Video Game a 4/10.

Metro 2033-Doom has a baby with Fallout 3 and its is quite thrilling

Metro 2033Metro 2033Metro 2033Metro 2033
My girlfriend picked this game up due to her love for Fallout 3. So I started to play it, due to the fact I enjoyed both Fallout 3 and various horror games, and I thought "Hey let's try this out.". To my surprise, it's a very well done game for going under the radar of most gamers. Based off the book by the same name written by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, 'Metro 2033' sets you in post apocalyptic Russia in 2033(who would of guessed?), around Moscow. Humans have been driven underground into, you guessed it Metros. The game is played entirely in first person. Your characters' name is Artyom and the game starts off with one of your comrades giving you something to deliver after a series of events (I don't want to ruin anything.)

The games' atmosphere draws you in with everything including the tiniest of details, from being able to step on glass and alert bandits, or being out on the frozen wasteland of what used to be Moscow. The enemies will come out of nowhere leading to a lot of jumping and exclamations at your TV.

ll around fun, even though there are a few parts that make me almost jump out of my seat
The characters are very well designed and acted, leading you feel as if you really are in Russia as the accents seem dead on. When walking through the different Metros, people are having individual conversations some in English, some in Russian. As again the atmosphere in the tunnels and Metros, blew me away completely. You use pre-war bullets as currency to purchase more ammo and guns, also you can trade in your old guns for new ones. The game features a barrage of guns and weapons, revolver shot guns, throwing knives, AK-47, and a hand-made machine gun called "The Bastard Gun" The game has very good lighting leading to some stealth kills, or you can go in guns blazing, yet in between Metros it may be hard to find ammo, so conservation in headshots is key. When you are on the surface or radiated zone, you have a gas mask, with filters which you can find and purchase in Metros for military grade ammo of sorts.

My biggest complaint on this game is the controls, they can be very awkward. If you're playing it on PC, you will have no problems since you can bind the keys to what you want. On the 360 you have 4 preset controls, my advice on this is cycle through them and find the one that best fits your style. Also there are a few parts of the game that can just be too difficult, and you will probably die a few times. Due to the frequency of deaths, this can get frustrating, even on easy mode.

I loved this game, and I am still playing it for achievements and all around fun, even     though there are a few parts that make me almost jump out of my seat. If you enjoy horror games, dystopias, or just shooters, I recommend this game. I give it a 9/10 easily.

Welcome.

Welcome to Ajs Video Game Review Round up.
I will be reviewing new games and old ones, heck, Im going to review all the games I play.
I know whats it like to buy a new game and be so excited to play it, but when you pop the disc in, its laggy, its glitchy, its bad controls. I know how that feels, and I am here to help you out.
